In 2010, I was elected Kent County Commissioner for District 11, which includes more than 30,000 residents living in Grand Rapids Township, East Grand Rapids, and two precincts of the City of Grand Rapids). Because my term of office is only two years, I am running for re-election in 2012. With redistricting, District 11 shifted slightly so that in 2012, the district includes approximately 32,000 residents living in Grand Rapids Township, East Grand Rapids, and Ada Township.

I hope you take some time to review my website. I have worked hard to bring fiscal common sense and good judgment to the County Commission. But my work with the County has only begun. So I once again ask for your highly valued vote.
